ho...OH MY!!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE AND I LOVE IT!!!!

however, I can so relate, seeing feeling uninspired through another artist's eyes helps put it all in perspective. I would be thrilled if you only focused on animal portraits forever, they are simply that stunning, but I totally understand your feeling uninspired. I'm so there with you and it's been hanging on for months now. I'm sick of painting what I know I can paint but fear keeps me from trying something new.

Best of luck Arti, I hope it passes soon, meanwhile, this is truly an incredible piece of work!! And thank you too for your very kind words about Brenda. Much appreciated.suzanneberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702748663139114422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734161902488517200.post-9226539651219249132015-04-30T14:53:35.442+01:002015-04-30T14:53:35.442+01:00I empathize completely with your feelings about pa...I empathize completely with your feelings about painting right now, Arti. Lots of experimenting, and not much coming from it. It must be part of the learning curve - the big slope upwards. Let's both keep on experimenting and painting!
Kathryn xx
Studio at the Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02900305750995808779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734161902488517200.post-21009586404912783822015-04-30T14:25:06.242+01:002015-04-30T14:25:06.242+01:00This frustrated feeling comes and goes throughout ...This frustrated feeling comes and goes throughout our art lives - it will pass. I've learned that it's a plateau time where we are working internally and will rise up a step or two when its time. I like the blues in the zebra!! I've seen these done in watercolor a lot but never tried them...perhaps just some wet-in-wet greens behind the zebra to say outside, but I don't mind it as it is - makes it really pop off the page this way.RH Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497161758269292809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734161902488517200.post-17995140025316568762015-04-30T10:59:00.988+01:002015-04-30T10:59:00.988+01:00Most of your paintings do not have this much white...Most of your paintings do not have this much white space, I agree, Arti. But it stands strong without a background because of the color and the graphic nature of the zebra itself. I think your work is always amazing and this is no exception!!Autumn Leaveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010044052621228719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734161902488517200.post-24260307925096123432015-04-29T16:52:24.005+01:002015-04-29T16:52:24.005+01:00I feel your pain. I also have the same problem with animal portraits - particularly zebras!
Hang in there!Chris Lallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15829320565765240622noreply@blogger.com
