Happy Birthday Sis

A watercolor of my sister Deepti, who celebrates her birthday today. Its tough to capture people in lines and colors if you know them closely , but I have given it a try...Just hope she likes it!
The tilt of head is her 'trademark' trait:) so is her smile.

    Hi Mariano..me and my sister grew up together , moved to a bigger city to make a career together..and endured hardships together,too! So , it must be showing in this portrait too,I guess..Thank you for appreciating it.

    very good portrait Arti. beautiful expression, very natural.

    a suggestion, you are messing up the backgrounds of these beautiful watercolor portraits. i can see almost the whole palette in this background. keep the backgrounds simple and stick to the reference.

    just my two cents. hope it helps.
