  1. Arti, I am close to you in this difficult situation. I can understand how you feel. Your watercolor is anyway, very good, and the expression of the lady represent very well what you have inside. Un abbraccio. Tito.

  3. Inded situations like this are very difficult. I am sure things will easse out soon and your father in law will gain in confidence again. Everything shall be all right.
And a very beautiful painting. So moody and still colourful.

  4. Arti, I am so glad you put your feelings into your painting. It is very expressive. As a Hospice RN I whole heartedly understand the many emotions we feel when someone we know or love is dying or severely ill. I have been at the deathbed of many a family member as well as my patients. Please feel free to email me if you would like to talk privately at Micbburn@gmail.com
You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers.
    Carol

  5. Dear Arti,
Thank you for visiting my blog in your very tough time. Despite of all these difficulties, you made a wonderful watercolor that amazes me.
The issue is not simple. A carer and wife's pains are serious in a patriarchy society and culture. I wonder if respite or a social worker available? Arti, pull yourself together and take care of yourself. If painting makes you happy, keep up. If not, take a rest. Be kind to yourself. OK?
    Kind regards, Sadami

  6. Oh Arti, I'm so sorry for the hard time you've been having. I hope things turn around soon. And this painting is so beautiful. I love how you've channeled your feelings into paint. That's the best way to do it I think! :)

  7. Hi Arti. I can feel for you as I had to care for my dad who was 89 when he passed on. Dealing with older folk is not always easy. Your painting came from your sole and expresses how you feel. It is a wonderful work of art. A true example what can be done when the artist does not over think about the process. Just go with your emotions.

  8. Dear Arti - I empathize with your situation as three years ago my mother was told by the experts that she had 6-12 months to live because of her agressive cancer. I spent 8 of the following 12 months at her bedside. I found that in order to cope I had to take time out every day for myself to walk, swim, paint or anything just to keep myself Ok in order to help her as she was very depressed at the time. I found prayer so very helpful as well. I know it was God that kept me sane and helped me to cope, and He also lifted my Mum's depression, and wonderfully she is still with us and still going strong. I know this is the power of prayer. I'm praying for you all at this time. Hugs

  9. Your painting is beautiful. As far as your father-in-law - as we get older seems we all go through that phase of looking after the older generation (went through it with my mother who died of cancer some years ago). Hopefully he will realize how lucky he is to be regaining his health and having loving family members around him; until then, I wish you good luck, and agree with others - make time for yourself every day; you will find your painting time even more pleasant.

  10. I love the look on her face and to know it’s from your head and not a known image, makes it even more exciting. Hope things get better soon. It would be great to see more of what you did last night.

  17. This is a great face and mood. She actually reminds me of a good good friend of mine. Sorry to hear about that stubborn FIL of yours. Too bad he can't take hold of that great news that he is clear and run with it...

hope that situation improves for you Arti.
