...and what a way to relax. Two of my favourite things in one painting: watercolor and elephants. How can I not love this painting especiallly as it is painted by you. Really wonderful work. That touch of blue just makes everything sing. Lovely work Arti.
Thank you, Laura!I was tired and painting this elephant really relaxed me.I did not plan, just went with my instincts here.I guess I will be painting more of this beautiful subject.
Glad you liked it, Sherry.I did not 'work' on this painting; just let my hand take over..I started in my usual neat style on his ear on the left; but realized that it was not the way I wanted it this time...So I actually washed the paint off his ear and went on with loose patches of color all over.I guess it worked!;)
Hello Julie, I am alright; thank you so much for being concerned. Yes,I have been neglecting my art and my blogging for quite some time now. This is because of an animation project which has been taking all my free time since last month.I am struggling to finish it ASAP so that I can return to my art,but the client keeps adding to work and I am just tied up! Lets hope I manage to complete it soon, even I am missing painting...Anyway,its so nice to have friends who care.. thank you for being one.I hope everything is fine with you, too. Hugs, Arti
Yup, things are going well for me. I'm writing and that makes me happy.
I know what you mean when you mentioned that you miss the painting. I have days when I need art, as if it's an ache. I can't imagine how you feel when you're away from it. So I'm glad you're still doing your art in one form or another. Besides, your work is so wonderful. You should know that I keep coming back to look at it.
I was so sorry to hear that you lost your friend. I can see how you used that raw emotion in your painting. You take good care, Julie
Thank you ,Hilda.I am deliberately trying to loosen up, to create something that doesn't look like a copy.Lets hope I can return to paint some more soon.Presently I am busy with my other occupation, computer animation. Best, Arti
