Blue European Crab
16x12''
Acrylics on ampersand board
This is something new and unusual for me.Acrylics look lovely and vibrant but its a struggle trying to blend them;they dry too quickly.I tried an Ampersand board this time and it worked far better than a canvas. It was not a pain working on this crab at all- and I quite like the outcome.Hopefully, more to follow!
Looks quite fantastic, so vibrant !!
ReplyDeletetHANKS!
Deletevery nice :)
ReplyDeleteyou can get an extender medium to put into the acrylics that i find helps slow down drying time
Thanks Jennifer I tried that.May be adding an extra layer of gesso will help, too!
DeleteBeautifully painted Arti! LOVE the vibrant colors....
ReplyDeleteThank you Hilda, I loved playing with color in this one.
DeleteVery amazing painting !!!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteBeautiful, Arti! Did you use an Ampersand watercolor board? Did you dilute the paints or use them full strength? I Love your style. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary.I bought this board so long ago that I forgot exactly which one it is..may be it was just a wooden panel which I had gessoed. I diluted the acrylics using water and an extender gel. Thanks for leaving the comment.
