The Ganga

This place is called "Swargashram", meaning -"Heavenly Abode"...

Both banks of Ganga river are joined by a narrow hanging bridge that you can see at a distance here.

An old boat resting on the bank. Only other way to cross this river ....

People enjoying a boat ride in the deep waters of this holy river.

  1. Love your pictures. I would like to take a ride on that boat! It is spring here in Kentucky and I am having a hard time staying inside to blog, etc.

  6. Poorva, laxman jhoola is still the same...this one is Ram jhula, the newer version closer to Rishikesh. As good as old one, but crowdier.Only minus point in Geeta bhawan is management of crowd and cleanliness...otherwise The ganga is as beautiful as ever!
