Here is the portrait that I submitted to DSDF challenge this year.I don't know the name of this elegant lady, but she is a fellow artist and blogger, and she will paint my portrait in turn; which you can see at Karin's blog Different Strokes from Different Folks.
There are many, many of them to come! Have a nice Day!

ReplyDeleteGreat portrait. It must be tough to use watercolor (at least it would be for me). You did a nice job!
ReplyDeleteReally great job, Arti! Love your clean, expressive style. The colors are beautiful and I love the detail around her eyes. I find Watercolor to be the most difficult of all mediums but you handle it masterfully!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine doing something this complicated in watercolor, and yet you have done it with complete success! Your work is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully done and in watercolor as well! You have really captured the likeness.

ReplyDeleteArti, I am new to your site, and really enjoy self taught artist's journeys...I have taken art in high school, and paid to be in some night classes, and now at the senior center where I live. It is now, later in life, when I really have the time to devote to it. Your portrait is a great likeness! I also think your Lily is gorgeous...Please come and visit me. I like watercolor and colored pencil.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donna for visiting my blog. I was at your blog too, and will keep visiting.
