After yellow, I have turned to blue.I was trying to find new subjects, and a sea turtle in its aqua habitat looked like a good subject!..I have used white oil pastel to keep all those lines on his skin..it also gives some texture to it.
Due to some family obligations, I haven't been painting much lately...and the trend will continue for some more time; but I sure miss you all, and will be back as soon as I can manage!Till then , Happy Painting!
Watercolor on paper, 16"x12"
Arti, your sea turtle glows from light from the surface. I love his happy attitude.
ReplyDeleteI wish you well in carrying out your obligations and look forward to your more regular blogging.
Hi Arti,

ReplyDeleteSee you soon!! Ciao, Tito.
Arti! this is so cute :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a baby sea turtle! I think he is gorgeous. I especially love the touches of green in this painting. Well done, Arti!
ReplyDeleteNice colours and perfect drawing. You have handled those limbs very nicely and delicately.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I noticed is the bold use of blue. I would be scared to put so much of blue like this. And I also liked the use of oil pastels. Makes the job so much easier.
ReplyDeleteYou've been so productive compared to me.
ReplyDeleteI left an award for you on my blog.
Wonderful Arti - you've achieved such a depth of colour with those blues and reds. And that cheeky touch of green!
ReplyDeleteEs un trabajo espectacular, me encanta el dibujo y la transparencia del color, enhorabuena.
ReplyDeleteThis is really different from your other work. I like it a lot!
ReplyDeleteYour painting if blown up would come alive. It looks so real. I loved the spring is here painting. My 13 year old daughter is also a good artist and so is my 11 year old son. She was in awe of your sketches and paintings.
