Blooms -Art Everyday_3

Some more blooms...more experiments with textures; it goes well with this subject!I have used salt on this one to create some interesting patterns.Any more ideas, anyone? .The picture is cropped short as I used a page with some pre existing colour smears...I hope its good enough for everyone to see what it is.

  2. Its most enjoyable to get lovely textures in a watercolor painting! I create textures depending on the subject! You have done well...sprinkling salt is a good technique :) I've seen artists spitting on the painting to get textures...howzzat?? LOL

  5. Also pretty, Arti. Last time I tried salt, it stuck to the paper as the paint dried. Sigh...

  6. SHerry I tried rock salt in this one and the results were better than table salt. You can remove the salt by using a dry brush or a tissue after the painting has dried.

  7. This is lovely Arti...I have found out in my journey that many of the textures happen by accident and we get no idea as to how that happened...I have read some books on multimedia painting and few give accounts on how to achieve texture for various mediums...I am all big for vibrancy and texture so am always digging for more info and ideas.
