Mix Media on Paper
This weekend I worked more on my landscapes. This is an imaginary scene painted in watercolors.I used a tissue to dab on the wet paper to create clouds. Several changes were made in the lower part of the painting --first it was ground, then a shore- finally I settled for the vast expanse of water. Tiny boats were added later in pastels to make it lively.
I think it is beautiful, Arti! The way you've handled that water is just stunning. So is the sky. Oh to have a modicum of your talent!
ReplyDeleteAw thank you so much Sherry, your encouragement keeps me going!

Deleteoh Arti just love that sky. Wish I could that, I need to practice lots more with my skies. I really like how you echo some of the colours in the sea, unifying everything. Beautiful. Take care. Laura x
ReplyDeleteI am also learning, Laura...I used the tissues to dab away the clouds, nothing more.I like your art very much and I know you could do this easily!
DeleteThe sky is wonderful, as is the water. The sketches with pastel is a good idea.
