"Summer and Flip Flops"
I did this one a while ago; from a picture that I took in the town on a gorgeous summer afternoon.A mom on her day out with her boys .The boys clutching their McDonalds' bags, all heading towards the car park... happy and excited--they certainly made an interesting picture.
I painted it a bit loosely, taking a different approach...though it was neither 'loose' nor 'tight' in the end.
I just love the picture you painted with words too, Arti. I love seeing a mom out with her happy kids! Wonderful subject that is painted just perfectly!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful subject, indeed; Sherry..I am glad you liked it so much.
DeleteWonderful intimate painting of Mum and children.
ReplyDeleteThanks Polly!
DeleteLOVE this Arti!!!! so colorful and beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne I hope you are doing good...I was not really sure about color, really - it looked like 'overkill' tome; but if it looks good to you, I am so happy!
DeleteGorgeous work, Arti. I love the colors ...and perfect shadows... It's painted loosely and yet I see the realism as well. Wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilda... actually I struggled a bit with shadows...in fact this painting was lying around for quite some time because I was not sure if the colors and the shadows were right. The paper was a bit rough and kept drinking my paint ;) But I am really glad that you like it!
DeleteLovely!:)
