Flip Flops_Figurative Watercolor

"Summer and Flip Flops"
I did this one a while ago; from a picture that I took in the town on a gorgeous summer afternoon.A mom on her day out with her boys .The boys clutching their  McDonalds' bags, all heading towards the car park... happy and excited--they certainly made an interesting picture.
I painted it a bit loosely, taking a different approach...though it was neither 'loose' nor 'tight' in the end.

  4. Gorgeous work, Arti. I love the colors ...and perfect shadows... It's painted loosely and yet I see the realism as well. Wonderful work.

    1. Thanks Hilda... actually I struggled a bit with shadows...in fact this painting was lying around for quite some time because I was not sure if the colors and the shadows were right. The paper was a bit rough and kept drinking my paint ;) But I am really glad that you like it!
