Can't stay away from them for long! Painted two of them in last two days when I am supposed to be 'taking a break'.Well painting elephants is like eating a chocolate muffin to me- gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling! Yesterday was a stormy day with blustery winds. Not a day to step out, anyway. So why not make the most of indoors!
Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season.
Dear Arti - your elephants are such a treat to see and this one is no exception. Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteThanks Liz..hope you had a great time on Christmas.
DeleteArti, the elephant seems to be your totem animal. I see it in the way you portray them. What a powerful yet peaceful message these creatures send. What do you think? Do you know why you identify with them so strongly?
ReplyDeleteI believe there is some connection, Julie..why am I going back to them again and again! Well I think I like the qualities they represent- stability, reliability, strength and dignity. In Indian culture we have Lord Ganesha who has the head of an elephant - he is considered the God of good fortune; his blessings are a must for any new project or work.Interesting? :)
DeleteSuch beautiful work Arti! Really impressive!
