A small textural painting in watercolor and guache.I had started as abstract patterns with splashes and unplanned mingling of color; but no wonder some trees took shape! I can never be an abstract painter- I find form everywhere :)
I agree that this is very unique for you, Arti! And while it does have the abstract impact, I find it more beautiful when I find form in an art piece. This is like a brilliant autumn forest and so darned pretty!!
I was trying something similar in acrylics but missed the spontaneity of watercolor--the mingling of pigment on paper creating beautiful patterns. So I finally went with watercolor and it worked!
Thank Tony we are on the same page here.I appreciate abstract art, some paintings look stunning,,,but can't do it myself! We have to bear the cross of form and figure :)
This is wonderful. Arti! So different for you...I love the strong, vibrant colors!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Hilda.I love to use vibrant hues time to time and what better subject than autumn trees...
