Koi

Always wanted to paint Koi fish someday!I enjoyed this painting immensely. It was created using 'wet on wet' technique and I was happy with the results.Took me about an hour to concieve, draw and paint it.No reference photo here.
Hope you like it too.

  2. I have never heard of Koi fish. I think Koi fish must be very interesting. It looks very interesting here. And the wet in wet has worked very well. It gives a sense of motion.

Seeing this reminded me of the koi I painted a few years ago and now have no idea where it is.

  5. They are lovely, Arti. I've seen some brightly colored ones too. They are fun fish to paint and you've certainly brought forth your vision of them beautifully. I also like it when something is painted from memory or a dream. Makes it that much more special.
