.........
This is a second time that I have done a self portrait; first one was about three years ago!
The reference photo was taken by my husband in summers.I always thought it was too strong, too close- as I tried to stare into the setting sun....But today as I thumbed for subjects, I came across this one and thought- "why not!"
Today being cloudy and dull, the photo didn't come out great; sorry about that.

I know that I keep saying this, but your work is stunning. You have an amazing sense of light. A career in art is difficult, but if anyone deserves it, you do.
ReplyDeleteArti, this is brilliant! I completely agree with JB's comment.
ReplyDeletearti, this is spectacular for so many reasons! it's beautifully painted, your expression, your eyes, i feel as if i know you better from this painting than from your profile photo! and after i tore myself away from the face, eyes, hair and background, i got happily lost in the stripes of your blouse!! BRAVO! ONE OF YOUR VERY BEST EVER!

Je connais la difficulté de l'autoportrait pour un peintre. C'est l'un des exercices les plus difficiles à réussir.
ReplyDeleteCelui-ci est superbement réussi.
Bravo,
Roger
Thanks Axis and Roger.
